About the building
Brentwood Bay Village is a modern 4-storey strata development completed in 2012, offering 20 well-appointed residential units. Located in the heart of Brentwood Bay, it provides residents with convenient access to local shops, restaurants, and the scenic waterfront. The building features contemporary architecture with high-quality finishes, including quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and in-suite laundry facilities. Units vary in size and layout, catering to diverse living preferences.
Brentwood Place Village, as the strata appears in listings, is a stone-clad West Coast-style building with an elevator and 20 homes whose homes include a top-floor two-bedroom of about 800 square feet with vaulted ceilings and a 640-square-foot wraparound terrace facing southeast; strata fees run around $480 a month. Each home has underground parking, some with two stalls, a large storage locker and access to bike storage, and heating is electric baseboard.
The pet bylaw reported in listings allows dogs and cats with a number limit, plus birds and aquariums, with no age restriction; confirm with the strata. Do not confuse this strata with Brentwood Place at 7070 and 7143 West Saanich Road, which dates from 1989 and 1994, or The Arbours across the street from 2019. The Brentwood Bay shops, marina and Mill Bay ferry are a short walk, and Butchart Gardens a few minutes by car.
About Brentwood Bay
Brentwood Bay is the village in the District of Central Saanich on Saanich Inlet, west of the Pat Bay Highway and about twenty-five minutes from downtown Victoria. It began as Sluggett, after an early settler family, and was renamed for Brentwood in Essex. The Butchart Gardens, built in a former limestone quarry on Tod Inlet, bring more than a million visitors a year, and the Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay ferry across the inlet is the twenty-five-minute shortcut around the Malahat. Gowlland Tod Provincial Park, Tod Inlet and Coles Bay Regional Park make this one of the most scenic corners of the peninsula.
Housing is mostly detached, but a commercial village runs along West Saanich Road and Verdier Avenue with condominium and townhome buildings tucked behind it, and newer mid-density projects such as Brentwood Estates and The Meadows have added more than 240 homes near Stellys Cross Road. Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa, the marina and the Butterfly Gardens round out the amenities, and Stelly's Secondary is the local high school. Route 81 runs through to Saanichton, Sidney and Swartz Bay and Route 83 connects Brentwood to Royal Oak; most residents drive, and the Lochside Trail is a short ride east.
