1. The short version
You can browse the entire site without giving us anything. The
only data we keep on your device is a list of building IDs you've
favourited (saved in a cookie called favourites,
stored only in your browser). The only data you actively send us
is what you type into the contact form.
2. What we collect
Favourites cookie. When you tap the heart icon on
a building card, the building's ID is added to a comma-separated
list stored in a first-party cookie named favourites
in your browser. The cookie is not sent to any third party. It
expires after 30 days of inactivity. Clearing your cookies (or
using incognito mode) resets the list.
Contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email, phone number (if provided), and message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and (with your consent) connect you with a partner realtor. We do not sell or share it with marketing platforms.
Standard web server logs. Like every site, our host records request logs (IP address, requested URL, user-agent, timestamp). These are retained for a short period for security and debugging, then discarded.
3. What we don't collect
We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising tracker on this site. We do not require an account. We do not store passwords. We do not track you across other sites.
4. Third-party services on this site
Mapbox provides the map tiles you see on
neighbourhood, district, and building pages. When the map loads,
your browser requests tile images from api.mapbox.com.
Mapbox sees standard request metadata (IP, user-agent). Their
privacy policy
applies to that data.
MyRealPage supplies the active MLS listings
shown on building pages. When you click a listing or interact
with the listings widget, your browser may make requests to
res.myrealpage.com. Their
privacy policy
applies to that interaction.
Google Fonts are loaded from
fonts.googleapis.com for the Newsreader, Geist, and
JetBrains Mono typefaces used throughout the design.
5. How long we keep things
Contact form submissions are kept in our inbox for as long as they're relevant (typically until the enquiry is resolved plus a reasonable follow-up period). Request you'd like your message purged sooner? Email us and we'll oblige.
6. Your rights (BC PIPA)
Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and request deletion. Contact us via the contact page and we'll respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies you can manage
The only cookie this site sets directly is favourites
(described above). Your browser may set additional cookies for
Mapbox tiles, Google Fonts, or other third-party services. You
can clear all site cookies via your browser settings; doing so
will reset your favourites list.
8. Updates to this policy
We review this policy from time to time and update the "last reviewed" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for at least 30 days before taking effect.
