About the building
Glenheights at Westhills is a 4-storey residential building located at 1145 Sikorsky Road in the master-planned Westhills community of Langford. Built in 2012, the complex comprises 68 units known for their energy efficiency, featuring geothermal radiant in-floor heating included in the strata fees. Residents enjoy quartz countertops and close proximity to Langford Lake, the YMCA/YWCA, and the scenic trails of the Westshore.
Glenheights suites are heated and cooled by a geothermal system, with radiant in-floor heat and hot water covered by the strata fee, which runs about $500 a month on an 885-square-foot two-bedroom. Exteriors mix cement-fibre siding, stone and glass, and homes have electric fireplaces, in-suite laundry and oversized decks with lake, mountain and valley views. Two-bedroom, two-bathroom plans of about 885 to 895 square feet are typical.
The building has controlled entry and is wheelchair-friendly, with secure underground parking, guest parking and some attached stalls. The pet bylaw reported in listings allows cats, dogs, birds, aquariums and caged mammals with number and size limits; confirm with the strata. Sikorsky Road is a short walk from the YMCA-YWCA, City Centre Park, Langford Lake and the Westhills bus exchange.
About Westhills
Westhills is a master-planned community on the south shore of Langford Lake, along Langford Parkway and West Shore Parkway. Westhills Land Corporation is building it out over two decades on about 500 acres, with roughly 5,000 homes and a million square feet of commercial space planned, and much of it is now complete. Housing runs from single-family lots and duplexes to the Atlas, Boundary and Bedford townhome series and the Solaris condominiums, two six-storey lakefront buildings with 130 homes. The community is Built Green certified and heats many of its buildings from a geothermal system.
The amenities are shared with the rest of Langford but sit at Westhills' doorstep: City Centre Park, Eagle Ridge Community Centre and the splash park, the YMCA-YWCA aquatic centre and library, Westhills Arena, Starlight Stadium, Langford Lanes and BoulderHouse. PEXSISEṈ Elementary, Centre Mountain Lellum Middle and Belmont Secondary are all inside or adjacent to the community, and the new Royal Roads Westshore campus is in the Langford core nearby. Westshore Town Centre is five minutes by car. The Westhills Exchange has express buses to UVic, Royal Oak and Dockyard, and the drive downtown is about twenty minutes.
