About the building
The Bowker Collection is a landmark four-storey mixed-use development located at 2285 Bowker Avenue in the coveted Oak Bay neighborhood of Victoria, BC. Completed in 2020 by the award-winning Abstract Developments, the project features 43 luxury residences above ground-floor commercial space. The building is designed around a serene 'Secret Garden' courtyard and offers high-end amenities including concierge services, a communal firepit, and secure underground parking and a shared electric car and e-bikes for residents.
Bowker Collection was designed by Gregory Damant of Cascadia Architecture with interiors by Nygaard Interior Design, and it is registered as strata plan EPS6508: a concrete building that broke ground in early 2018 after a 2017 sales launch, the third condominium project in Oak Bay since the mid-1990s. The 43 homes mix one- and two-bedroom suites, townhomes, garden and terrace homes and penthouses, with ceilings of nine to ten feet, gas fireplaces, triple-glazed windows, wide-plank white oak floors and a concrete topping with acoustic underlay between floors.
A 1,005-square-foot corner two-bedroom listed recently had Fisher & Paykel and Bertazzoni appliances, quartz counters, a gas hookup on the balcony and two parking stalls, with a strata fee not yet reported. In place of charging stalls, the strata keeps an electric car and e-bikes for residents to share. Willows Beach is a ten-minute walk and Estevan Village is around the corner.
