About the building
Brentwood Lane is a well-maintained, low-rise condominium complex in the heart of Brentwood Bay. Built in 1997, the attractive garden-side building offers spacious two-bedroom suites with generous floorplans, large balconies/patios, and desirable family-friendly layouts. Units commonly include in-suite laundry, parking, separate storage and access to landscaped grounds — the building is within walking distance of village shops, transit and marina access. Its combination of size, layout and location makes it appealing to families and downsizers alike.
Brentwood Lane's two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites run about 1,215 to 1,250 square feet, some with a den, with gas fireplaces and storage lockers; unit numbers run from 101 to 404 across the four floors. The strata has a communal workshop and shared green space, visitor parking, and a second stall can be rented from the strata when available. A flooring bylaw limits laminate to the ground floor.
Brentwood Village, the marina, the beaches and the library and community centre are all within a few minutes' walk. No developer, strata plan number or unit count surfaced in public records, and only two-bedroom plans appeared in recent sales, so the 44-unit figure and the one- to three-bedroom mix described above should be checked against the strata plan.
About Brentwood Bay
Brentwood Bay is the village in the District of Central Saanich on Saanich Inlet, west of the Pat Bay Highway and about twenty-five minutes from downtown Victoria. It began as Sluggett, after an early settler family, and was renamed for Brentwood in Essex. The Butchart Gardens, built in a former limestone quarry on Tod Inlet, bring more than a million visitors a year, and the Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay ferry across the inlet is the twenty-five-minute shortcut around the Malahat. Gowlland Tod Provincial Park, Tod Inlet and Coles Bay Regional Park make this one of the most scenic corners of the peninsula.
Housing is mostly detached, but a commercial village runs along West Saanich Road and Verdier Avenue with condominium and townhome buildings tucked behind it, and newer mid-density projects such as Brentwood Estates and The Meadows have added more than 240 homes near Stellys Cross Road. Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa, the marina and the Butterfly Gardens round out the amenities, and Stelly's Secondary is the local high school. Route 81 runs through to Saanichton, Sidney and Swartz Bay and Route 83 connects Brentwood to Royal Oak; most residents drive, and the Lochside Trail is a short ride east.
