About the building
Fairway Green is a desirable 82-unit condominium complex nestled on a quiet, tree-lined street that backs directly onto the prestigious Royal Colwood Golf Course. Built in 2009, this four-storey West Coast-style building features modern interiors with 9-foot ceilings, bamboo flooring, and granite countertops. Residents benefit from unique community amenities such as a central courtyard with a barbecue area, as well as practical features like secure underground parking and dedicated bike storage.
Fairway Green is registered as strata plan VIP83353: two four-storey buildings on a concrete foundation arranged around an inner courtyard with a barbecue area, each with an elevator, secure underground parking, bike storage and lockers. Suites have soaker tubs, walk-in closets and in-suite laundry, and the strata fee covers building insurance, management and grounds; the strata allows one cat or dog, and the buildings are wheelchair friendly.
The complex backs directly onto the Royal Colwood Golf Course, with Colwood Corners, the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre, Royal Roads University and the Galloping Goose a short distance away and a bus route on Goldstream Avenue. Records disagree on size: the directory and REW count 82 homes, bccondosandhomes 40, which may reflect one building or both; the strata plan settles it.
About Fairway
Fairway is an MLS sub-area in Langford named for Fairway Avenue, the street that runs between Goldstream Avenue and the Royal Colwood Golf Club. It covers the eastern stretch of the Goldstream Avenue corridor near the Colwood boundary, distinct from the Station Avenue and Claude Road core that listings call Langford Proper; the boundary is not published, so treat it as the Goldstream corridor east of the downtown blocks. It should not be confused with the fairway-side streets at Bear Mountain.
Most of the housing is four-storey wood-frame condominium built in the 2000s along Goldstream Avenue, including Fairway Green at 608 Fairway Avenue, an 82-unit building from 2009 that backs onto the golf course, and McConnell Place at 655 Goldstream from 2007, with other buildings at 751, 755, 821, 825, 844 and 866 Goldstream. Royal Colwood, an A.V. Macan course from 1913, is private, but its trees give the neighbourhood its character. The Goldstream Avenue shops and Veterans Memorial Park are a few minutes' walk west, the Galloping Goose and Glen Lake are close, and Thetis Lake and Westshore Town Centre are a short drive. Langford Exchange and the Route 95 RapidBus are the transit links; downtown is twenty to twenty-five minutes by car.
