About the building

Goldstream Place is a four-storey residential building located at 821 Goldstream Avenue in the heart of Langford, BC. Built in 2006, this intimate collection of 31 strata homes is set back from the road, offering a quiet setting just steps from Goldstream Village amenities. The spacious units feature West Coast contemporary interiors with granite countertops, electric fireplaces, and large balconies.

Goldstream Place suites run about 815 to 855 square feet in two-bedroom, two-bathroom plans with granite counters, tile backsplashes, in-suite laundry and electric baseboard heat, and the corner suites open onto oversized decks, one measuring 17 by 6 feet. A recent listing carried a strata fee of about $490 a month, with building insurance, water, hot water, management and grounds included, and the strata allows two pets of any size; each home has a parking stall and there is guest parking. One record gives the year as 2005 rather than 2006.

It is registered as strata plan VIS6079; no developer or independent unit count surfaced in public records. Goldstream Village and the Langford bus exchange are a few minutes' walk.

About Langford Proper

Langford Proper is the MLS name for the centre of the City of Langford: the Goldstream Avenue strip, Station Avenue, Claude Road and the blocks around Veterans Memorial Park and Langford Lake. Langford incorporated in 1992, became a city in 2003 and was the fastest-growing community in British Columbia at the 2021 census, and its downtown is the newest high-density core in Greater Victoria. Almost all of the housing here is condominium, apartment or townhome stock built since the early 2000s, with towers of 18 storeys and more now proposed around Peatt Road and Goldstream Avenue.

The neighbourhood is unusually well served for its size. Langford Lake and the Ed Nixon Trail sit a few blocks from the shops, the YMCA-YWCA aquatic centre and library opened in 2016, and City Centre Park, Eagle Ridge Community Centre and Starlight Stadium, home to Pacific FC and Rugby Canada, are at the west end of the core. Westshore Town Centre and the Millstream big-box stores handle most errands. Belmont Secondary is on the lake. Langford Exchange is the West Shore transit hub, and the Route 95 RapidBus runs from there to the Legislature about every fifteen minutes; the Galloping Goose crosses the city, and the drive downtown is about twenty minutes outside rush hour.

Incorporated in 1992, Langford has rapidly grown into one of the region’s fastest-developing municipalities, with a population now exceeding 25,000 residents. Known for its ambition, youthful energy, and modern West Coast style, Langford offers a dynamic blend of urban convenience, recreational opportunities, and natural beauty.
