About the building
Heron View is a premier oceanfront townhouse community located in the desirable Whiffin Spit neighborhood of Sooke. Developed by Lamont Land Inc., the 91-unit complex features West Coast Craftsman architecture and extensive resort-style amenities, including an outdoor pool, hot tub, tennis court and fitness room. The spacious townhomes are primarily 3-bedroom configurations designed with open-concept living areas, vaulted ceilings, and large windows to maximize the stunning ocean and mountain views.
Heron View was built in ten phases over about fourteen years, with construction beginning around 2007 and the final homes selling in 2022; Phase 9 was built in 2020 and 2021 under Silvercreek Development Eight LP, and the whole community is registered as strata plan VIS6983. Phase 9 homes are three-bedroom plans of roughly 1,625 to 2,000 square feet with double garages, nine-foot main-floor ceilings, Hardie-plank siding with cultured stone, gas fireplaces and quartz counters.
The Oceanfront Owners' Club adds a common room with a fireplace and wet bar, a rooftop deck, a fitness room with an infrared sauna and change rooms to the pool, hot tub and tennis court. Strata fees cover building insurance, garbage, the recreation facility and yard maintenance, and pets are allowed with restrictions. Whiffin Spit Park and the Sooke Harbour waterfront are a short walk.
