About the building
Langford Tower is a modern 6-storey condominium building completed in 2020, located in the heart of Langford's vibrant urban core. The building is distinguished by its spacious floor plans and impressive ceiling heights, which range from 9 feet to soaring 13-foot vaults on the top floor. Residents enjoy proximity to Westshore Town Centre and local dining, along with building amenities such as secure underground parking, a bike room, and a tranquil shared outdoor courtyard.
Langford Tower is one half of a two-tower project by Western Canadian Properties Group, designed by Lovick Scott Architects at the corner of Jacklin Road and Orono Avenue; the two six-storey wood-frame buildings hold 78 and 45 homes for a combined 123, share a single underground parkade of about 137 stalls, and are marketed under both the Langford Tower and Pinnacle names, so addresses appear as 2843 Jacklin Road and 868 Orono Avenue. The development was first sold as a rental-investment product and the homes have since traded as ordinary strata units.
Suites run from about 550 to 910 square feet in one-bedroom, two-bedroom and two-bedroom-and-den plans, with in-suite laundry and storage, heat pumps, centralized hot water, keyless entry and sprinklers; strata fees start around $320 a month on a one-bedroom. Confirm pet rules with the strata. The Langford bus exchange and the Route 95 RapidBus are a short walk, as are the Goldstream Avenue shops and Veterans Memorial Park.
About Langford Proper
Langford Proper is the MLS name for the centre of the City of Langford: the Goldstream Avenue strip, Station Avenue, Claude Road and the blocks around Veterans Memorial Park and Langford Lake. Langford incorporated in 1992, became a city in 2003 and was the fastest-growing community in British Columbia at the 2021 census, and its downtown is the newest high-density core in Greater Victoria. Almost all of the housing here is condominium, apartment or townhome stock built since the early 2000s, with towers of 18 storeys and more now proposed around Peatt Road and Goldstream Avenue.
The neighbourhood is unusually well served for its size. Langford Lake and the Ed Nixon Trail sit a few blocks from the shops, the YMCA-YWCA aquatic centre and library opened in 2016, and City Centre Park, Eagle Ridge Community Centre and Starlight Stadium, home to Pacific FC and Rugby Canada, are at the west end of the core. Westshore Town Centre and the Millstream big-box stores handle most errands. Belmont Secondary is on the lake. Langford Exchange is the West Shore transit hub, and the Route 95 RapidBus runs from there to the Legislature about every fifteen minutes; the Galloping Goose crosses the city, and the drive downtown is about twenty minutes outside rush hour.
