About the building
Wisteria Row is a sophisticated collection of 18 modern townhomes located on the border of South Oak Bay and East Fairfield in Victoria’s coveted Gonzales neighborhood. Completed in 2025 by Aryze Developments, the community features two 4-storey wood-frame buildings designed to harmonize with the area’s historic Craftsman-era character. Residents enjoy high-end interiors with Fulgor Milano appliances, custom cabinetry, and hardwood flooring, all within walking distance of Gonzales Beach and Oak Bay Village.
Wisteria Row was designed by D'Ambrosio architecture + urbanism for Aryze Developments on the corner of Foul Bay Road and Quamichan Street; the presale was marketed as 902 Foul Bay Road, and 907 and 909 Redfern Street are the home addresses. The 18 townhomes are mostly three-bedroom plans, with two one-bedrooms and one two-bedroom-and-den, averaging about 1,100 square feet with front-porch entries. Four of the homes, two one-bedroom and two three-bedroom, were sold at 20 per cent below market value under a covenant that keeps them affordable in perpetuity.
Parking is 14 surface stalls under canopies, all pre-wired for EV charging, and every home came with a lifetime Modo car-share membership; a bike shed holds 31 bikes with six more short-term racks outside, and a children's play space sits at the southeast corner. Confirm pet bylaws with the strata. Gonzales Beach, Oak Bay Village and the Fairfield Plaza shops are each a short walk.
About Fairfield East
Fairfield East is the half of Fairfield toward Oak Bay and Gonzales, roughly the streets around Fairfield Road east of Moss Street, Redfern Street, Fairfield Plaza and the Ross Bay waterfront. The MLS split between Fairfield West and Fairfield East is not an official boundary, so the two overlap along Moss and Fairfield Road, and this side shades into Gonzales at Foul Bay Road. The houses are mostly Edwardian and inter-war, with low-rise apartment and condominium buildings along Fairfield Road and newer infill such as the Rhodo townhomes at 1720 Fairfield Road.
Fairfield Plaza, across from Ross Bay Cemetery, is the local shopping centre, with a grocery store, pharmacy and cafés, and the City's plan names it and Five Corners as villages to enhance while keeping growth elsewhere limited. Ross Bay Cemetery, the resting place of Emily Carr and more than 20,000 others, is a heritage site and a popular walk, Clover Point and the Dallas Road waterfront are a few blocks south, and Moss Rock and Robert Porter parks are the neighbourhood green spaces. Sir James Douglas and Margaret Jenkins elementaries serve the area. Route 7 runs along Fairfield Road to downtown and UVic, and downtown is a five-minute drive.
