About the building
Mountain Vistas and green space surround this Omicron Development in View Royal. The two-phase project's suites are set in 2.5 acres of green space. Coastal contemporary four storey buildings offer residents beautiful and modern convenience while still enjoying the pristine natural woodlands.
Portico Design Group interiors feature open-concept kitchens, dining and main living areas. 9 foot ceilings, stainless steel appliances and stylish colour palettes give the Coho and very fresh, upscale feel.
View Royal is a thriving community just outside Victoria’s core. A short drive to just about any amenity you can imagine.
Coho was built in two phases by Omicron, which acted as developer, architect and construction manager for Headwaters Properties: Coho 1 at 280 Wilfert Road (strata EPS965, 49 homes, 2012) and Coho 2 at 290 Wilfert, started in fall 2014 and completed in 2015, for about 98 homes across roughly 96,000 square feet on 2.5 acres. The two wood-frame buildings sit on a rocky knoll with valley views to the north and west and water and city views to the east and south, each with a ground-floor amenity room, and share a children's play structure and a woodland trail.
Suites have quartz counters and Samsung in-suite laundry; a typical two-bedroom is about 860 square feet. The strata keeps a guest room that owners can book by the night. Listings report two pets allowed, dogs or cats; confirm with the strata. Thrifty Foods at Admirals Walk, the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre, Fort Rodd Hill and the Esquimalt Lagoon are all a few minutes by car.
About Six Mile
Six Mile is an MLS sub-area in the Town of View Royal, on the forested hillside between the Trans-Canada Highway and Sooke Road, bordered by Mill Hill and Thetis Lake regional parks. It takes its name from the Six Mile Pub at 494 Island Highway, built in 1855 as the Parsons Bridge Hotel and one of the oldest roadhouses in British Columbia. View Royal's own neighbourhood map does not use the name, so the MLS area overlaps several municipal neighbourhoods and its edges are approximate.
Housing is mixed: mid-century houses, newer compact subdivisions, townhouses, a manufactured-home park and a growing number of condominium buildings along the Island Highway, including The Royale and Grand and Fir. View Royal is planning its town centre on this stretch of highway near Admirals Road, with large rental projects already approved. Thetis Lake's beaches and trails are the main draw, and the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre, Q Centre arena and library are across the highway. The Island Highway RapidBus lanes under construction serve the Route 95 to downtown and Langford, Route 14 reaches Victoria General and UVic, and Langford's shopping is about ten minutes by car.
